Book Club Spotlight

Women to Women Ministries serves under the Family Department of Bethany Baptist Church and endeavors to holistically impact the lives of women through creative ministries such as, Women at the Well Intercessory Prayer, Women’s Fellowships Classes, the Women of Wisdom Book Club, quarterly fellowships, yearly retreats and more!          

The Women of Wisdom Book Club is an extension of the Women to Women Ministries of Bethany Baptist Church. The book club started meeting once a month at the church in February of 2004 and has progressed to meetings at various restaurants within the area to discuss the book of the month.  

When Women of Wisdom was first formulated, the group decided they wanted to read books that were entertaining rather than self-help books. With that in mind, books are chosen that meet that need and at the same time have some biblical element/lesson.

The incredible group of women read a wide variety of Christian books - male and female authors - Caucasian, African American, and foreign writers. The book club is broadening their reading this coming year to include a few secular books that are sure to bring a whole new flavor to the discussions.   

To join the book club, all one needs to do is read the book of the month and attend a discussion. Details for each month are normally announced during church service.
